Terms of Use — Pollona

Version 1.0

Last updated: 2026-10-01

1. Acceptance

By installing, opening or using Pollona: Domino Scorekeeper (the "App"), published by APPFLOW LLC ("APPFLOW LLC", "we", "us"), you accept these Terms of Use in full. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

2. What the App is

Pollona is a domino scorekeeper: it keeps the points of every hand, says when someone reached the target, marks the pollona, and stores your table's game history.

The points are entered by you. The App adds, sorts and stores, but it does not see the tiles and does not know what actually happened at the table. If someone scores it wrong, the App scores it wrong.

3. The App is not the table's referee

Domino is played differently in every neighborhood and every country: the target, how a pass is counted, what exactly counts as a pollona. The App ships with defaults and lets you adjust some rules, but what counts is what the table decides. We are not an authority on anything and we don't settle arguments.

4. Money and betting

The App does not handle money between players: it doesn't charge, pay, bet or track debts. The only thing it counts is points in a game.

If you and yours play for something, that is your business and your responsibility, not the App's, and you must follow the laws where you are. Don't use the App as evidence or as a ledger for anything worth money: it isn't built for that (see section 7).

5. Your account and your name

The App creates an anonymous account for you and lets you link it with Google or Apple so you don't lose your history. You are responsible for what is done from your account and for the phone where you leave it signed in.

When writing names — yours and those of the people playing with you — you agree to:

6. Premium (the subscription)

Some features are paid (Premium): scanning tiles with the camera when it is available, advanced statistics, the full calendar, exporting your history, share cards without a watermark, and letting all four players at the table score.

7. No warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranties of any kind, express or implied.

In particular, we do not warrant:

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, APPFLOW LLC is not liable for indirect damages, loss of data, profits or opportunities arising from the use of the App. If there were liability anyway, it is limited to what you have paid for the App in the previous 12 months, or to $0 if you have paid nothing.

None of this removes any consumer-protection rights your country's law gives you, which cannot be waived.

9. Proper use

You may not:

If you break this, we may close your access.

10. Ownership

The App, its name, its design, the pollona and rooster artwork, and all of its code belong to APPFLOW LLC or to those who licensed them to us, and are protected by intellectual property law. Your games and your names are yours: what you do with the App does not belong to us.

The Barlow and Barlow Condensed typefaces are used under the SIL Open Font License; the license ships inside the App.

11. Changes and discontinuation

We may change the App, add or remove features, or stop publishing it. If we were to stop publishing it, we would give reasonable notice so you can export your history. We may also change these Terms: the new version appears inside the App with its date, and continuing to use it means accepting it.

You can leave whenever you want: Profile → Delete my account.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute is submitted to the competent courts of the county where APPFLOW LLC has its legal domicile in Florida, unless the consumer-protection law of your country of residence requires another forum.

13. Severability

If a court holds any part of these Terms invalid, the rest remains in force.
